Redmen Take A Pair Against Carleton

2015-09-17

RAVENS’ FIELD, OTTAWA — The McGill Redmen continued their dominance of the Carleton Ravens by following up on their Saturday victory in Montreal with a 17-7 win on a dark Ravens’ Field last night in Ottawa.

The Ravens withstood an early onslaught thanks to the incredible goaltending of rookie Simon Bellamy. The Ravens took the lead on a goal by midfielder Sam Robillard and stood even with the Redmen 3-3 at the end of the first. Bolstered by the additions of long poles James Bilyk and Matt Klassen, the Ravens defense were able to frustrate the Redmen until a string of Ravens penalties exposed them to McGill’s man-up firepower.

Redmen Anders Bjella, Spencer Bromley and Connor Goodwin continue to lead the McGill attack with rockets from the outside. 7-4 at half, the Redmen continued to pull away taking advantage of Ravens turnovers and penalties.

Raven Aaron Woods continues to be the centerpiece of the Ravens attack finishing the night with 3 goals.
