Bishop's Edges Guelph 6-5 In Thrilling Quarterfinal

It was a stunning end to an exciting, if low-scoring, game to open the 2015 Baggataway Cup final six weekend at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec Friday evening. 

The home team led into the final minute of the game but the two-time defending champion Guelph Gryphons tied it up and looked to have forced overtime when Liam Corbett scored with 15 seconds to play. 

But in a play that thrilled the home crowd and crushed the Gryphons, Simon Winquist took the ball of the faceoff, weaved through the Guelph defensive unit and buried the ball  before the finali whistle could blow, giving the Gaiters a win over Guelph in the quarter finals for the first time in three years and a date with the Western Mustangs Saturday at 1 pm in the semifinals.
