Brock comes in at #2 in the rankings after improving to 3-0.

2. Brock University (3-0)

The Brock Badgers are off to a hot start to the 2016 season with a 3-0 record, and two of those victories coming against divisional rivals Guelph and Western. The Badgers offense has coming flying out of the gates, netting 45 goals in their opening three contests. No surprises, Brandon Slade (16 points) and Brandon Staal (15 points) have been a dominant tandem once again for Brock. After allowing 13 goals in game one against Western, the Badgers held Guelph and Laurentian to just six goals. Even if keeping the ball out of the net does become a concern, the Badgers may be able to outscore the rest of their opponents with their high powered offense. The Badgers can take a serious stranglehold on the division with a win and season sweep over the Mustangs on Thursday night.

Brandon Slade's big weekend earned him First Star honours.

First Star: Brandon Slade, Brock University

Senior Brandon Slade had a big weekend with the Badgers netting 11 points (3G,8A) in two victories this past weekend. The Orangeville, Ont., native is averaging 5.3 points per game and well on his way to another race for the CUFLA scoring title. The return of Brandon Staal will only help improve Slade’s already impressive offensive production.
