Jeff Fernandes of Trent is the Inside Lacrosse First Star for the second straight week.

Jeff Fernandes has become the second player to repeat as the Inside Lacrosse First Star this season. Fernandes earned the honour by scoring 7 goals and 7 assists to lead Trent to a pair of road wins over Nipissing in Week 6.

As seen below, McGill goalie William Waesche is the Second Star. To read Pat Gregoire's full 3 Stars article on Inside Lacrosse, follow this link

Second Star

William Waesche, McGill University
Fifth-year senior William Waesche has been one of the elite goaltenders since he enrolled at McGill University, earning two-goalkeeper of the year awards, two All-Canadian honours and an honorable mention last season. The way the Connecticut product has played between the pipes this season, there’s a good chance he will be adding more hardware to an already impressive trophy mantel. This past weekend, Waesche made 14 stops on 20 attempts, including a few point-blank saves to lead the first place Redmen to a 8-6 victory over Queen’s. The 5-10 goalkeeper from Greenwich High School is currently sporting a 6.78 goals against average, good enough for fourth among all starting netminders in CUFLA lacrosse.
