McGill Coming Together, Posts Larger Winning Margin in Victory over Ottawa

Redmen down Ottawa 17-8 in Week 3\'s first game Thursday night.

After earning the nickhame Cardiac Kids with three close wins including a pair in overtime to start 2018, the McGill Redmen are starting to find their stride at the midpoint of the CUFLA season.

McGill downed Ottawa 17-8 at home just five days after edging the Gee-Gees 12-10 in overtime at Ottawa.

Maxime Murdoch and Patrick Turner each scored four goals as McGill clobbered Ottawa 17-8 in an emotional Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association contest played at Forbes Field, Thursday.

It was the fifth victory in as many outings for the Redmen who led 6-1 after the first quarter, 11-3 at halftime and 14-7 after three.

Other marksmen for McGill included Liam MacDonald and Colton Campbell, with two goals apiece. Rounding out the scoring was Seth ObadiaAndrew ChaseKieran McKayBrendan Byrne and Cougar Kirby.

The Redmen had a 29-17 margin in shots as goalkeeper Michael Gallo registered 17 saves for the victory. Isaac Lavallee started between the pipes for Ottawa and took the loss. He allowed 14 goals in 62 minutes before being replaced by Evan Fox, who conceded three goals in 18 minutes.
