Roundup of Week 6 action from CUFLA.

We have an 8-0 team sitting atop each division after tight wins over rivals by the Western Mustangs and McGill Redmen.

Western was pushed to the limit by Guelph but ultimately prevailed 9-8 on the Gryphons home turf Sunday afternoon. That kept the Mustangs unbeaten and six points ahead of the Brock Badgers, who dumped Laurentian 20-3 to improve to 5-1.

The East Division, meanwhile, saw a pitched and high-scoring battle of unbeatens in which host McGill wound up on the right side of a 16-14 score against the Trent Excalibur.

Trent had pulled away from third-place Queen's on Saturday in the first half of their weekend road trip to down the Gaels 20-9, leaving them 6-1 with three games to play in the regular season.
