Inside Lacrosse CUFLA 3 Stars, Playoffs Round 1: Schott, Bolsterli and Wood

The focus is on the defence in Pat Gregoire's CUFLA 3 Stars for Inside Lacrosse after the first round of playoffs last weekend. A pair of long poles and a goalie stand atop the podium after leading their teams to the Baggataway Cup final weekend, which kicks off Friday afternoon at the University of Toronto and concludes with the championship game Sunday at 1 pm.

Senior defender Ethan Schott has been tremendous all season long, but this weekend might have been one of his best performances yet. Schott was near flawless on defence, with countless caused turnovers while also being a monster on loose balls. The Whitby, ON native also got involved in the offence, adding an assist to the scoresheet in Trent's 14-11 win over UOttawa. Schott finished the regular season with 40 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers while chipping in with six points (1G,5A).
