Higher seeds win all Baggataway Cup play-in games.

In a season that saw some perennially lower-rated CUFLA teams make big strides in the standings, the usual suspects took command in the Baggataway Cup play-in games.

Guelph 8, McMaster 6
Box score
The Guelph Gryphons return to the final six, to be held at Trent University November 3-5, after doubling up the McMaster Marauders 8-4 on Sunday, October 29.
McMaster had its best season in many years, winning six of 10 games to remain in contention for a home playoff game until the final weekend of the regular season. Finishing in fifth meant they had to travel to Guelph, and the Gryphons' experience shone through as they took a 3-0 lead and held on for the win.

McGill 9, Queen's 5
Box score
Queen's is no stranger to the Baggataway Cup and they are making big strides under new head coach Connor Kearnan, but McGill goes to the final six weekend almost every year and the Redbirds kept their streak going with a strong start against the Gaels.
Isaiah Cree scored 2 of his game-high 4 goals to help McGill stake a 5-2 lead after the first quarter and Queen's was never able to battle all the way back into the game.

Carleton 12, Bishop's 9
Box score
Score one for the new guys. The Ravens soared all the way to first in the East with an 8-2 record. That comes in just the second season since the Ravens finished three straight seasons without a win.
The climb continued for Carleton with an 8-1 half-time lead that allowed the Ravens to hold on for the playoff victory and a berth straight to the Baggataway Cup semifinals on Saturday, November 4.
