In the second game on day one of the Baggataway Cup two power houses met to secure a place in the semi final on the Saturday in a quest to be named Baggataway Cup 2012 Champions.
In a closely contested game where both Gaitors and Badgers gave it their all. Showing great athleticism and skill from start to finish, the Brock Badgers came out on top. This was not without a fight until the end, as tempers boiled over and athletes showed what it meant to be in the Baggataway Cup. After the first period, The Badgers led 5 goals to 2, going in at half time they extended that lead 8 - 3. It was a game of two halves for the Gaitors as they came out in the third period fighting and closed the gap 6 - 10, continuing to pressure the Badgers, but the Badgers held off and were victorious in the end 12 - 9.
Game MVP for the Gaiters was Brett Conway, while Jordan Weedmark was the MVP for Brock.
Brock Badgers progress to the semi final on Saturday when they will play Western Mustangs at 3:00 pm.
