After the first period both teams were tied 2-2. The lead once again changed hands in favour of the Gryphons 7-5. With it all to play for in the final period, both teams wore their hearts on their sleeves and gave it their all. Redmen closed the gap through #7 Jishan Sharples (Vancouver) to make the score 6-7 however the Gryphons did reply quickly through #7 Eric Hubert (Mississauga) to give a two point lead. The final few seconds of the game climaxed as Redmen scored with #5 Alex Rohrbach (Princeton Junction) bringing the game to within a point followed by another goal by #7 Jishan Sharples (Vancouver) and with everyone expecting overtime Redmen's #11 Brandon McLean (Victoria) scored to give his team a ticket to the final!
