The Queen's University Men's Lacrosse team is excited to officially announce that on March 23rd Queen's Universtiy Gaels will play the University of Toronto Blues in an exhibition game; with all proceeds going towards the HEADstrong Foundation. The game is to be hosted at Queen's Tindall Field in Kingston, ON. ... The Queen's University Men's Lacrosse team is excited to officially announce that on March 23rd Queen's Universtiy Gaels will play the University of Toronto Blues in an exhibition game; with all proceeds going towards the HEADstrong Foundation. The game is to be hosted at Queen's Tindall Field in Kingston, ON. HEADstrong lacrosse apparel will be available for purchase at the event with all proceeds from apparel sales going directly to the HEADstrong Foundation. The game will begin at 2:00 pm on March 23rd; those interested are invited to attend this event in support of a great initiative within the lacrosse community. The Queen's Lacrosse team will be providing a free clinic to children of the Kingston area on Tindall Field prior to the game teaching basic lacrosse skills in a fun and safe manner
The HEADstrong Foundation is a well developed charity within the lacrosse community which raises money and awareness for non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma research in memory of Nicholas Colleluori, a long pole formerly of Hofsta University who passed away due to non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2006. HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori believed that the vibrancy of lime green made a powerful statement while conveying unspoken meaning. Lime green is recognized as the National Awareness Color denoting non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In line with Nick's beliefs both teams will incorporate lime green into their game-day uniforms, in support of both the HEADstrong Foundation and the fight against non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
