Baggataway Cup opens in just 10 days

2013-10-23

Greg Davidson and the Brock Badgers will be in the Baggataway semis.

Baggataway Cup runs November 1-3 at Montreal's Molson Stadium. Brock and McGill already have tickets booked for the semi-finals.

The Baggatway Cup is fast approaching. The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association's championship will be held in Montreal at Molson Stadium, the home of the McGill Redmen, November 1-3. The host team received an automatic berth to the Final 6 weekend, but they didn't need it as they ran off a perfect 10-0 regular season to qualify directly to the semi-finals. Brock was almost as good in the West Division, going 11-1 to finish first and earn a berth in the other semi. Both games will be played on Saturday, Nov. 2.

McGill and Brock will face the winners of the quarter-finals, which will be played the day before—Friday Nov 1—between the winners of the divisional playoff games being held this weekend. Other contenders include 10-2 Western and 9-3 Guelph in the West Division. The East's next two teams behind McGill, Bishop's and Queen's, both finished 7-3.

Molson Stadium is a professional-level stadium that will provide a tremendous viewing experience for the fans who come to watch the exciting conclusion to the CUFLA season. A pass for the whole weekend is just $10 for students and $20 for adults while single-day passes are $5 and $10, respectively. Children 12 and under get in free.
