McGill then opened a three-goal lead behind Callum Olson, Zack Page and John Miraglia, but the Gaiters stayed within striking distance with goals from Benjamin Sipples, Chiarella and Liam Reynolds.

Ottawa produced another dominant offensive performance, defeating Carleton 21–9 on Sunday afternoon. Samuel Ouellette opened the scoring 2:45 into the game before the Gee-Gees built a 7–3 advantage after the first quarter. Ottawa continued to pull away in the second, with Hunter Lubiniecki scoring twice and Julien Belair adding another pair, including the eventual game-winner 6:38 into the quarter.
