Laurentian opened the scoring 1:24 into the first quarter when Jake Sudsbury found the back of the net, but Western quickly took control. Kei Hagiwara tied the game at 3:56 before Christopher Da Silva scored twice to give the Mustangs a 3–1 lead after the opening quarter. Ottawa overcame a strong opening half from Queen’s to earn a narrow 15–14 victory Saturday evening. Cam Milligan, Ryan Gonsalvez and Tanner Harrison scored the opening three goals to give the Gaels an early advantage. Hunter Lubiniecki answered with a first-quarter hat trick, while Julien Belair also scored as Ottawa cut the Queen’s lead to 5–4. Toronto overcame an early deficit and held off a late McMaster rally to earn a hard-fought 15–13 victory. The Marauders scored the opening three goals and built a 6–4 advantage after the first quarter. However, Toronto responded in the second, receiving three goals from Graham Dicken and another from Justin Ranger to tie the game 8–8 at halftime.

Trent used a dominant second quarter to pull away from Carleton on its way to a 14–5 victory Saturday evening at Raven’s Road Field. Jaiden Maseko opened the scoring 5:20 into the game before Max McPherson doubled the lead at 10:49. Jenson White answered for Carleton late in the opening quarter, but Trent responded with five unanswered goals in the second. Western remained undefeated with a convincing 14–6 victory over Laurier on Saturday afternoon. Blake Booth opened the scoring just 1:28 into the game before Kai Brady and Zach Abu-Ali extended the lead to 3–0 after the opening quarter. Hunter Casey put Laurier on the board 3:43 into the second, but Western answered with five consecutive goals to take firm control. Brock came out quickly and built an early advantage on its way to a 16–6 victory over Laurentian. Carson Saunders opened the scoring just 47 seconds into the game before Guerin Jennings and Jack Parker extended the lead to 3–0. Laurentian answered with goals from Jake Sudsbury and Rowan Smith, but Brock responded with three more to carry a 6–2 lead into the second quarter. McGill remained undefeated with a hard-fought 14–10 victory over Bishop’s on Thursday evening at Coulter Field. The two teams were separated by just one shot, with McGill holding a narrow 22–21 advantage, while the Gaiters remained within striking distance throughout the game. However, McGill found enough offence at key moments to maintain control down the stretch.

Guelph jumped out to an early 2–0 lead on goals from Ben Lawlor and Carter Mackay, but Brock responded and carried a 5–4 advantage into halftime. Nicholas Volkov and John Logue put the Gryphons back in front during the third quarter before Colton Armitage’s power-play goal tied the game 6–6 heading into the fourth.

Trent opened the scoring with the only goal of the first quarter when Nick Fournier found the back of the net. The Excalibur built on that momentum in the second, getting two goals from Jaiden Maseko and one each from Mason Tardiff and Dallyn Rai. Queen’s jumped out to a 2–0 first-quarter lead on goals from Zeke Wills and Kai Faller before Bishop’s answered early in the second through Max Chiarella. Western took control early and never looked back, scoring six unanswered goals in the first quarter on its way to a 16–5 victory over Laurentian. Ryder Cooke opened the scoring before Troy MacDonald, Christopher Da Silva, Cyrus Sinopole and Mason Doshi added to the lead. Sinopole’s second goal, with just three seconds remaining in the quarter, proved to be the game-winner.

The Brock Badgers used a dominant second quarter to defeat the McMaster Marauders 14–7. McMaster opened the scoring through Preston Gear, but Brock responded with three consecutive goals to take a 3–1 lead after the first quarter. The Badgers then broke the game open with seven goals in the second, including a shorthanded marker and the eventual game-winner from Guerin Jennings, to carry a commanding 10–2 advantage into halftime.

McGill remained unbeaten with a 9–5 victory over Queen’s in a tightly contested East Division matchup. Liam Miletich opened the scoring for McGill at 2:19 of the first quarter, but Cam Milligan answered for Queen’s at 4:28 to leave the game tied after one. One week down, and the first storylines of the 2026 CUFLA season are already beginning to take shape.
