WHAT IS CUFLA?

The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) is the league of Canadian Universities that play lacrosse. CUFLA is governed by an executive board that runs the league and is accountable to the member universities. From humble ‘club’ beginnings, to varsity level teams in 2013, the league has come a long way in the last four decades, where the competition is intense and continues to improve each and every year.  CUFLA recruiting efforts span North America as many U.S. born student-athletes are choosing to compete in Canada’s most competitive field lacrosse league and the best education system.  Many alumni play both professional field lacrosse and have won gold playing for Team Canada.  The season culminates with the Baggataway Cup, where the top Canadian University Lacrosse teams compete for a national championship. CUFLA will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025.

When is the CUFLA Season?

The CUFLA regular season runs through the months of September and October. The Baggataway Cup championship tournament is hosted in November. Training camp begins in August.
